Prof. Michael Berk is an NHMRC Senior Principal Research Fellow and Alfred Deakin Chair of Psychiatry at Deakin University and Barwon Health, where he heads IMPACT, the Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation.
Listed by Thompson Reuters as amongst the world’s most influential scientific minds (2015- 2019).
He holds grants from the National Institutes of Health (US), Simon Autism Foundation, NHMRC CRE and Project Grants, Beyondblue, ARC Hub and Stanley Medical Research Institute and was a lead investigator in a Collaborative Research Centre. He has generated $100M in total funding.
Prof. Berk's research focus are in the discovery and implementation of novel therapies.
